California Divorce Judgment Processing Timelines
#California #Divorce #Judgment Processing Timelines –
We are seeing longer and longer #delays with the filings of our divorce #judgments.
The judgment is the final piece of the divorce that includes all the terms of your #agreements. This is filed as a judgment #package to the #court.
The #courts have always taken quite a bit of time to process the judgment and we had usually advised our clients they could expect anywhere from 2-3 months on average for it to be processed.
Now we are consistently seeing it take 3 to 4 months and usually closer to the 4 months.
This is why it is important to submit your divorce judgment as soon as possible to hedge against these delays so your divorce does not finalize much later than the 6 months.
