স্ত্রী কে তালাক প্রদানের ক্ষমতা ১৮নং কলাম বা তউফজ ক্ষমতা দেয়া উচিত নয়। যদি ক্ষমতা প্রদান করা হয় তাহলে ঐ স্ত্রী যেকোন সময় স্বামীর অনুপস্থিতে স্বামীর টাকা, সম্পদ সহ সবকিছু চুরি করে পালিয়ে গিয়ে স্বামীকে তালাক দিতে পারে, ফলে ঐ স্বামী সবর্শান্ত হয়ে পথে বসতে পারে। তালাকে তউফজ একটি সবর্নাশা বা ভয়ংকর তালাক ব্যবস্থা। স্বামী স্ত্রীকে তালাক প্রদানের ক্ষমতা অপর্ন না করেন বা না দেন তাহলে ঐ স্ত্রী সংসার করতে না চাইলে স্বামীর সাথে আপোষ মিমাংসার মাধ্যমে তালাক বা বিবাহ বিচ্ছদ ঘটাতে হবে অথবা মুসলিম বিবাহ বিচ্ছেদ আইন ১৯৩৯ অনুসারে স্ত্রী তার স্বামীকে তালাক দিতে হবে। যা স্বামীর জন্য খুবই ফলদায়ক।
………………দেনমোহর ………………
মোট দেনমোহর দুই প্রকার ১) মুয়াজ্জল বা নগদ বা তাৎক্ষনিক (এটি বিবাহের আসরেই পরিশোধ করতে হবে বা বাধ্যতামুলক) ২। মুঅজ্জল বা বিলম্বিত (এটি তালাক অথবা স্বামী মৃত্যুর পর পাওনায় রুপান্তিত হয়। মুঅজ্জল অংশটি চাহিয়া বা দাবী করিয়া স্ত্রী আদালতে মামলা করলে স্বামী আদালতে যদি জানান তিনি এখন লোনে চলছেন মুঅজ্জল অংশটি পরিশোধ করার সামথ আমার এখন নাই তাহলে আদালতে মুঅজ্জল অংশ দেনমোহর পরিশোধের দায় থেকে মুক্তি পাবেন। (বিলম্বিত দেনমোহর হবার কারনে আদালতের কিছু করার থাকে না )
………………স্ত্রীর ভরনপোষন ………………
স্ত্রী স্বামীর গৃহ ত্যাগ করে পিতা বা অন্য জায়গায় অবস্থান করে ভরনপোষন দাবী কের আদালতে মামলা করলে আদালতে স্বামী ঐ ভরনপোষন দিতে রাজী না হলে আদালতের করার কিছুই করা থাকে না (স্ত্রী স্বামীর সঙ্গে দাম্পত্য সম্পক না রাখা বা বিবাহের শতর্ ভঙ্গ করার কারনে)
………………স্ত্রীর জীবদ্দশায় স্বামীর দ্বিতীয় বিবাহ ………………
স্ত্রী স্বামীর গৃহ ত্যাগ করে পিতার বাড়ী বা অন্য কোথাও অবস্থান করে অথবা স্ত্রী স্বামীর সংসার করতে ইচ্ছুক না। তাহলে মুসলিম পারাবরিক আইন ১৯৬১ অনুসারে স্বামীকে সিটি কপোরেশন/ পৌরসভা/ ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ এ স্ত্রীর জীবদ্দশায় দ্বিতীয় বিবাহেব আবেদন লিখে আবেদনে ২০ টাকা কোট ফি যুক্ত করে তা দাখিল করতে হয়। দাখিলকৃত আবেদনটি স্বামী স্ত্রী কে নোটিশ দিয়ে উভয় পক্ষকে প্রতিনিধি সহ হাজির হতে বলা হয়। সালিশি পরিষদ উভয় পক্ষের বক্তব্য শুনবেন। স্ত্রী সংসার করতে না চাইলে স্বামী ২য় বিবাহের অনুমতি পাবেন অন্যথায় স্ত্রী স্বামীর সংসার করতে বাধ্য হবেন।

বর্তমান প্রেক্ষাপটে দেনমোহর, ভরনপোষণ এক উন্নতমানের ব্যবসায় পরিণত হয়েছে। উদাহরণ – বাজে পরিবারের মেয়েদেরকে বেশি দেনমোহর নির্ধারন করে বিয়ে দেয়া এবং পরে ছেলের বিভিন্ন অপরাধ দেখিয়ে মামলা দায়ের করে মোটা টাকা হাতিয়ে নেয়া। এতে মেয়েদের পূর্বের প্রেম অন্যতম কারন। তাই বাংলাদেশে ছেলে নির্যাতন আইন প্রতিষ্ঠা করা উচিৎ… এতে বাংলাদেশে এমন মুখোশধারি পতিতারা অন্যায় করার সাহস পাবে না।
