Backstory, my wife [female] and I [male] are an early 30’s couple that has been married for 7 years. We have a 6 year old daughter together and a 14 year old son who is my step son, but never referred to as such. His biological father abandoned him. Our dating time was a mix of long distance, on and off, and had its mix of toxic and nirvana states. Together we have lived in two different states. Our children go to good schools and are both loved and cared for by the both of us.

Got to love double standard so the wife has a male coworker turned friend but the OP becomes friends with a woman and people just assume he at fault because he must be hiding something.
Ten minutes in……and I REALLY notice the difference in comments because of the gender of the OP. Reverse the genders and the comments would be reversed as well.
