I live in Arizona, Tucson not Phoenix, but similar weather. I think telling people “it’s a dry heat” is how we trick ourselves into believing it’s not as hot as it actually is. I don’t care how dry of a heat it is, 110 degrees is ridonkulous. While most people hibernate in their heated houses in the winter, we Arizonans hibernate in the summer and blast our air conditioning while complaining about our $400 electric bills.

Around 1990 if so the airport was closed. 123 degrees, jets were rated at 119 degrees. We broke down moving out of State. We were just passing through. Arizona is too hot, even for Satan!
