In family law, sometimes you end up paying for the lawyer on the other side – especially if you’re the father and have more assets than the mother. This video explains why in paternity cases and divorces you can end up paying for the other side to sue you.

  1. I’m also a California attorney and sadly, these games are certainly a problem…at least here in Northern California courts.
    It wouldn’t be so frustrating if the courts applied them a little more equally — and I do mean that: equally. Male clients are getting their clocks cleaned by attorneys’ fees provisions much more than the females.
